education that the college kids came in with. Also, as a biologist I have had lots of exposure to scary stuff, e.g. climate change, massive extinction event going on now, over-population, etc. So, I am scared, and the only thing I could do that I thought would make a difference is to start this school. it is a lot of work, but is now fun since we have students - an interesting and challenging lot.
